Mountains / Global ski mountains

Global mountain guide

Pick a mountain worth planning around.

A straight, place-first guide to 242 tracked mountain destinations. It names every currently tracked destination in the Rockies and Interior BC, the Alps, Japan, and Eastern North America, then opens out to other global ski regions. A separate, source-audited layer adds 115 official destination names for discovery. This is not a ranking, snow report, or operating-status list.

Illustrative global mountain scene — not a conditions report or forecast.

How to use this guide

A mountain name is a starting point, not a same-day answer.

A direct operator-report link appears only when this site has an exact, human-reviewed destination. A U.S. NWS link appears only when the same exact mountain is in the separate NWS selector. If neither appears, the guide deliberately does not guess at a source, an opening, conditions, access, or a pass deal. Use the pass calculator to enter the mountains and days you are actually considering.

Find your mountain

Skip the long scroll.

Search the static guide by mountain, state, country, or region. A result opens its exact directory row; tracked destinations can then be added to the calculator draft there.

Enter at least 2 characters to search 357 names.

Official discovery names remain guide-only; this finder never treats one as a pass, snow, price, access, or conditions claim.

Turn a name into a plan

The next useful question is usually cost—not a generic “best” list.

Add the mountains and rough ski days you are considering. The calculator compares tickets, one pass, or a two-pass stack while keeping dated products and documented limits visible. Recheck the operator before buying or travelling.
