The Remarkables requires advance Ski Bus reservations. Its winter-access guide describes Carpool Priority Days: vehicles with three or more occupants can use upper Carparks 1-3, while smaller groups use Carpark 4 and its shuttle. Check the snow report the night before for announced priority days, then compare bus seats for your whole group with driving and the parking transfer. Confirm the current season rules and bus availability rather than assuming a lift pass reserves transport or a parking space. If driving, check road and chain instructions before leaving Queenstown.
