Look at the timestamp first.

Check the camera’s date, time and location. A frozen frame, obscured lens or off-season snow stake can mislead. Use the operator report for lift and terrain status.

Check each image timestamp. The snow report uses the 1,950 m Summit weather plot; lodge and higher mountain views represent different locations.

Whitewater warns that cell service and Wi-Fi can drop out on the trip. Save directions, tickets and return arrangements before leaving town. Its arrival guide reserves HOV parking for vehicles with at least three occupants and places accessible parking at the front of Lot 4. Follow current signs and attendants when you arrive.

The official arrival page still includes 2025/26 airport-shuttle dates and a spring mountain-shuttle timetable. Confirm 2026/27 service, fares, pickup and return seats before booking accommodation around a shuttle. Do not assume the displayed timetable applies to your dates. The resort asks riders to avoid parking at hotel stops unless staying there. Compare the confirmed return fare with your rental-car and parking budget.

Use DriveBC for road events and highway cameras before a British Columbia ski drive. Check the route and report timestamps, including the return journey. DriveBC also posts updates on X, but an older post does not establish whether a road is open now. A resort weather forecast and a highway report answer different trip-planning questions.

Official sourceRecreate old DriveBC email alerts before your next ski road tripRead tip & sources

DriveBC says subscriptions on its old email service are no longer active. Its migration guide directs travelers to sign in or create a Basic BCeID, save a route on the new DriveBC site, activate notifications through the confirmation email, then enable and customize updates under Favourites > My Routes. Saving a route alone is not the final notification step. Follow the official guide for your account and verify the route and notification settings before traveling. Also check current road events and cameras for both directions of your ski trip; an alert subscription or an older social post does not establish that the road is open now.
