Family ski pass prices: price every age, then check the mountain

2026-27 US-dollar pass snapshots, checked August 20, 2026

The honest short answer: there is no universal family season-pass deal. Epic, Ikon, and Mountain Collective use different age cutoffs, and only some publish a conditional child saving. This page prices the actual people in a household from primary-source operator pages, labels every condition, and keeps access rules beside the total. It does not turn a low number into a recommendation.

Price only. Not a pass recommendation.

Price the people actually in your crew

Enter each skier's age. The calculator maps every age to each operator's own bands, then applies only the published child conditions shown below.

Household: 4 skiers ages 35, 35, 10, 8.

Ikon Pass

$3,596

The calculator applies the published $100 saving to every 5-12 child only when the household includes an Adult Ikon Pass.

  • Includes the published $100 saving on each 5-12 Child Ikon Pass with one Adult Ikon Pass.

Unlimited access and 7-day access are destination-specific; reservations can be required.

Ikon Base

$2,636

The calculator prices each 5-12 child at $349, then applies the published $299 rate when the household includes an Adult Ikon Base Pass. It applies the Squad Pack only to exactly five entered ages 23-28.

  • Includes the published $50 saving on each 5-12 Child Ikon Base Pass with one Adult Ikon Base Pass.

Some published Ikon Base destination groups have blackout dates while others are listed blackout-free; it also has fewer unlimited destinations and different partner access than full Ikon.

Totals exclude tax, financing, fees, and any unquoted checkout-only offer. A lower total does not mean the pass covers your mountain, dates, or number of days.

Reference only - not a purchase option

Indy Pass is sold out for 2026-27

Indy's official site says the alpine pass is off sale and directs skiers to its waitlist. We deliberately do not repeat an old price through a live shop URL: the current shop is the source of truth for availability and any future offer. Indy is excluded from the calculator until a current, purchasable product and price are published.

Use the total correctly

A family price comparison is only the first screen, not the buying decision.

1. Start with each skier's age

Operators do not share one definition of child, teen, young adult, or adult. Use the age requested at that operator's checkout; this calculator intentionally does not collapse them into a fake family band.

2. Validate the access class

A family can be fully priced and still not be covered for its holiday week, home mountain, premium partner, or number of ski days. Read the access caveat, then verify the official access table for your dates. For a holiday trip, compare the published Epic Local and Ikon Base blackout dates before assuming a lower tier works.

3. Price the actual mountain plan

The Ski Pass Cost Calculator compares tickets, one pass, or a two-pass plan against the mountains and days you expect to ski, including documented partner caps. Use this family total as a purchase-budget input, then recheck the official seller for coverage and access terms.

Family and youth ski pass prices: straight answers

Is there one best family ski pass for 2026-27?
No. A household total is only useful if everyone can ski the same mountains on the intended dates. Epic, Ikon, and Mountain Collective use different age cutoffs and access models; compare price, blackout dates, partner caps, and your actual mountain plan together.
Does Ikon have a family or child discount?
The official 2026-27 Ikon Pass page says every Child Pass ages 5-12 can save up to $100 with one Adult Ikon Pass. The official Ikon Base page says Child Passes save $50 with one Adult Base Pass. This page applies those conditions only when the entered household includes the required adult pass.
What is the Ikon Base Squad Pack?
Ikon Base publishes a Squad Pack for five people ages 23-28: one buyer purchases all five passes at $800 each. It is a group offer rather than a family discount, so this calculator applies it only when exactly five entered skiers are all ages 23-28.
Are kids free on Mountain Collective?
Mountain Collective lists Kids 5 & Under as free for 2026-27. Its paid child band is ages 6-12, followed by Teen ages 13-18 and Adult ages 19+. Confirm checkout eligibility and access terms before purchase.
Why is Indy Pass not in the family calculator?
Indy says the 2026-27 alpine pass is sold out and waitlist-only. This page deliberately does not repeat a prior price through a live shop URL, because that would not be a current quote. Indy stays out of buy-today household totals until a current, purchasable product and price are published.
Are these the final ski pass prices?
No. These are primary-source USD snapshots checked August 20, 2026. Operators can change price, eligibility, availability, and access terms, so open the linked official product page before buying.
