Rockies mountain guide
Ski mountains in the Rockies and Interior BC, kept in a readable regional order.
A place-first guide to 70 tracked destinations across the Rockies and Interior BC, with 17 separately scoped official discovery names.
Illustrative regional mountain scene — not a conditions report.
A better starting point than a generic list
Place names first. Your own shortlist second.
A Rockies trip can bring together names from Colorado, Utah, the Northern Rockies, the Canadian Rockies, the Southwest, and Interior British Columbia. Those group labels make a broad map easier to read without pretending they are a single interchangeable place. This page keeps the tracked destinations inside the regional structure already used by the global guide, so visitors can scan a familiar area first and still see how it relates to the wider mountain catalog.
The tracked section contains 70 destinations, arranged in six regional groups. 17 additional official-discovery names are shown separately instead of being added to that number. Keeping those layers apart matters: a recognizable name is useful for discovery, but it does not automatically become part of the planning catalog. The result is a simple reference for checking a name and its location label before carrying it into a personal trip conversation.
Use the regional groups to make a short list rather than trying to absorb the whole page at once. Start with the names closest to the kind of trip you are discussing, then use the global guide to inspect other mountain regions with the same place-first lens. After you have chosen the mountains and rough number of days that matter to you, the separate ski-plan calculator is ready for that next step. This page remains deliberately narrower: a durable list of names and locations that is easy to revisit when a new mountain enters the conversation. That stable structure also makes later visits straightforward when another name returns.
Continue the scan
Carry your place-name shortlist into another mountain region.
Each fixed guide uses the same bounded, place-first catalog. Open another region when the conversation widens, then keep only the names that belong in your own calculator draft.
