Choose your Killington base before paying for parking

Open tip ↗

Killington lists free parking at all five base lodges, with passenger and equipment drop-off areas. Match your arrival base to your lesson, rental pickup and terrain plans before considering premium parking. A closer paid space is a convenience choice, not a requirement for every visit. Confirm which base areas and connecting lifts are operating for your dates, especially early or late in the season. The operator page mixes a 2026/27 parking-pass section with older daily prices and shuttle dates; do not use those older rates or schedules as a current winter quote. Compare any current parking quote across your actual driving days and keep that cost separate from lift access.

Check the lodging shuttle’s days before dropping the car

Open tip ↗

In a November 2024 Icecoast discussion, one Killington visitor described staying near a mountain shuttle and a restaurant, while another reported weekend-only shuttle service at a condo property. Those are past individual experiences, not current service promises. Before booking, ask the property for its exact stop, operating days, first ski departure and last return, including dinner plans. Compare the room plus the whole group’s transport costs. Killington’s published shuttle information distinguishes resort-area service from select condo routes, and its displayed spring-2026 end dates do not confirm winter 2026/27 service. For the separate Rutland–Killington commuter bus, check the transit operator’s current route and fares rather than repeating older claims that every bus is free.

Check Vermont's fifth-grade passport before buying child tickets

Open tip ↗

Current fifth graders may apply regardless of residence, but each student can participate only once, even if a prior passport was unused. Budget the accompanying adult's own valid ticket or pass; one adult may accompany at most two passport children. Confirm approval before travel.

Reserve and redeem Vermont passport vouchers before skiing

Open tip ↗

Reserve a dated voucher in the portal no more than seven days ahead, including same-day use if available, then complete the mountain's redemption process. Customers cannot change or cancel reserved vouchers. A voucher does not guarantee a ticket at capacity. Killington lists online redemption; check each area's blackouts, capacity and any RFID charge.
