Choose an early or afternoon arrival at Mt. Baker Mt. Baker recommends arriving around 8:00 a.m. on busy weekends, holidays and powder mornings, after the parking areas open. If that is not practical, its next suggested parking window is after noon. The operator identifies roughly 8:30–11:30 a.m. as the busiest weekend and holiday approach traffic. Check that day's parking opening times and status before leaving, allow extra time for lessons, and carpool where practical. These are planning suggestions, not a reserved space or a guarantee of parking. An afternoon visit may suit a shorter ski day; confirm operating hours and the current afternoon ticket before choosing it.
