Choose Mammoth lodging for the whole day, not just the first lift In a July 2026 Mammoth discussion, skiers weighed Village access to food and shops against staying closer to a lodge, and suggested checking bus stops, grocery access and lodging parking. Those are useful planning questions, not current hotel prices or guaranteed lift access. Compare the total for rooms, parking, groceries, meals and transport, then check the walk to a stop with ski gear and your evening return. Do not assume every lodge or gondola will be open for your dates simply because a community reply expected it.
