You want a low-commitment season with a couple of Cannon days and a couple at Waterville Valley, while leaving room for weather calls and day tickets elsewhere.

Current access check: Indy is two days at each participating resort in this planner. Its Base tier has blackout dates, and a third day at either mountain is not covered as a normal pass day. For the Loon, Sunday River, and Killington rotation. A strong fit when your Northeast season is spread across those partners and you stay below the individual five-day caps. It is a worse fit if holidays are the only dates your group can ski.
Unlimited at 15 published destinations and 5 days at other access groups. Peak-date restrictions do not apply everywhere: the official 2026-27 access table has both northern-restricted and blackout-free groups. Excludes Jackson Hole, Alta, Snowbasin, and Deer Valley.

For repeat White Mountains and Stowe use. Useful when the Vail Resorts side of New England is where your repeat days land. The current roster lists no holiday restrictions at Attitash or Wildcat; Stowe is the calendar constraint to check before the lower price counts.

- Is Ikon or Epic better for Boston skiers?
- Neither wins by default. Ikon is compelling for a Loon, Sunday River, Killington pattern; Epic fits repeat use at Attitash, Wildcat, Stowe, Hunter, Mount Snow, and other Vail Resorts mountains. The deciding detail is your actual resort mix, individual partner-day caps, and which holiday dates you need.
- Does an Ikon Base Pass give unlimited days near Boston?
- No. In PassCast's current roster, Loon, Sunday River, and Killington are each capped at 5 days on Ikon Base, with peak-holiday blackouts. Those are individual resort caps, so run a multi-mountain plan instead of adding every planned day to one imaginary bucket.
- What is the cheapest sensible pass for a Boston skier?
- For a very light plan, Indy can be worth testing against day tickets if availability reopens: it covers two days each at participating mountains such as Cannon and Waterville Valley in this planner.
